  • PMI Employees Soar with Excellence During EPA inspection!

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducted a thorough inspection at Westover ARB, MA with no major or significant findings thanks to Team Westover.  Thanks were given to many base personnel; including three PMI employees who were recognized by name:  Dave Statham,  Chuck Berry and Roberto Felix.

  • PMI Transportation Motor Pool employees at Fort Bragg, NC earn accolades for facility appearance, positive attitudes, and timeliness service!

Special mention was made of Mr. Walker's stellar service, "I cannot say enough about how Mr. Walker and the TMP staff made our visit to Ft. Bragg smooth and easy...  The TMP bent over backwards to support us.  I wish I had a team like this at our home station.  Great job.  Thanks for your support".

  • Hallmark-Phoenix Presidio of Monterey Logistics Services Employees Sustain Excellence!

One of our customers, The Apparatus Program Manager for the Presidio of Monterey Fire Department, comments, "...I have had a great Deal of interaction with the Hallmark Phoenix contractor providing maintenance for our apparatus.  As of yet this interaction has been an extremely positive one.  Eric and his crew have been extremely responsive to any repair need we have had.  When we had a issue arise where a outside facility had not correctly repaired a piece of apparatus, Both Eric and Mr. Ramsey were quick to demand that the problem be rectified quickly and thereby had our apparatus quickly repaired and returned to us.  They have also been flexible and accommodating when the need raised in trying to keep our aging and non-standard (aka difficult to find parts for) Apparatus fleet on the road.  I have seen this as a has been a significant improvement in the level of service then what we have received in the past.  I am very happy to be working with Eric and the Hallmark Phoenix team, and look forward to a continuing positive relationship."

Another customer noted on a customer comment form, "The service was spectacular.  We received the requested books in less than a week.  Everyone I dealt with was kind and eager to help us.  It is refreshing to work with people who truly take pride in their work and enjoy helping their customers."
And again, Eric Mendoza adn his staff in Maintenance were recognized by a customer for superb service and a streamlined process with the 2407 paperwork. Thansk Eric and staff!

Thanks to all of our members of the Hallmark-Phoenix Team!

  • Westover Aces COMSEC Inspection!
A recent Airfield Management Computer Security (COMSEC) inspection resulted in zero findings and no "notable observations" for Airfield Management!  The inspector commented to a Westover BOS Airfield Management staff member that Airfield Management is her largest account and that Westover has come a long way.  For example, past assessments took numerous hours and multiple visits to complete, but due to the incredible organization and efficiency of the Airfield Management workcenter, the inspector was able to complete it in just a few hours.  Upon hearing of Airfield Management's success, Project Manager Jim Carey said, "To all of you in Airfield Management, I want to express my deepest appreciation for a job 'WELL DONE'!  No write-ups on our annual COMSEC assessment!!!!  WOW... We have come a long way, and the reason for this success is a direct result of your willingness to go the extra mile and to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted when handling COMSEC.  As we all know, COMSEC is a complicated process, and strict attention to detail is a must.  This is a first for PMI's Airfield Management at Westover, and the credit goes to all of you!  Thanks for all you do, and keep up the great work!  Believe me when I say... "It does not go unnoticed, or unappreciated!  Thank You... Awesome Job!"

We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Jim!  Congratulations to all involved and thank you for making PMI shine!

  • PMI Tinker AFB Supply Personnel Officially Recognized as "Outstanding Performance Team!"

PMI's Tinker Supply Mobility Bag Issue team was selected as "Outstanding Performance Team" during Tinker AFB's Feb 2009 War Wagon 09-02 base mobility exercise.  The exercise was a no-notice Targeted Compliance Inspection used to evaluate the major graded areas of initial response, force protection, and deployed operations.  The PMI Mobility Bag Issue Team, lead by Tom Thomas, ensured all team members were prepared to complete the issue of over 350 mobility bags to 127 people.  PMI's Contract Manager stated, "Our team worked very hard and were very professional during the process.  They took pride in the process from beginning to end.  The mobility bag issue for deployments and exercises is a required deliverable service in the contract which requires PMI to issue the bags to each individual in five minutes or less.  According to the QAP who timed the process, we issued bags on average in less than two minutes per person."

Truly exceptional!  Our hats go off to these outstanding personnel for representing PMI so well during this high-visibility event!

  • Hallmark-Phoenix Peterson CEMAS Employees Contribute to Padden Award.

Peterson AFB, CO, was recently awarded the Major General M.C. "Tim" Padden Award for the 2008 AFSPC Facilities Excellence Recognition Program, Large Installation Category Winner!  Hallmark-Phoenix was a vital contributor to this auspicious award, as Project Manager Joe Sydnor and his Civil Engineering Material Acquisition System (CEMAS) team purchased the materials needed to keep those facilities looking sharp and running smoothly!  Great work, CEMAS!

  • PMI Westover BOS Rewards Great Performance.
Hockey has the Stanley Cup. Golf has the Green Jacket.  At Westover Base Operating Services (BOS), stellar performance is rewarded with a cobalt blue PMI jacket.  At Westover, all non-salaried employees who have been with PMI for at least 6-months are eligible for recognition as that contract's "Employee of the Quarter."  Started in 2006, this distinguished employee recognition program rewards deserving individuals by having their name and information permanently engraved on an Employee of the Quarter plaque, displayed in a common area near project manager Jim Carey's office.  They also receive a $50 gift certificate, and the cherished cobalt blue, PMI logo-embroidered jacket.  Formal announcement of the winner and gift certificate and jacket presentation are now a routine occurrence at Westover's quarterly "All-Hands" meeting.

Congratulations to all the quarterly award winners, past and present!  Thank you for setting the standard for others to follow!

  • PMI Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) Employees Help Honor Fallen Marine.
Westover ARB's Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) recently contacted PMI with a special request.  The MEPS First Sergeant, Peter Robles, explained that in May, MEPS will dedicate their "Oath of Enlistment Ceremony Room" to a fallen Marine.  The Marine being memorialized was from the local area and members of his family will participate in the dedication.  During the ceremony, the Marine's family will place a memorial plaque on the entry door and will unveil a second memorial to his memory that will be kept on permanent display in the room.  Due to the serious and somber nature of this ceremony, First Sergeant Robles asked if PMI's carpenters would visit MEPS to help determine the best way to mount the memorial plaque and ensure it is secure, dignified, and appropriate looking when mounted.  PMI carpenter Tom Bonnano and General Maintenance Worker Greg Godard took on the task.  Upon completion, First Sergeant Robles immediately sent an email saying how much he appreciated PMI's quick response, stating that their performance was "fantastic... as usual."

Thanks to Tom and Greg for yet another job well done!

  • Hallmark-Phoenix Presidio Logistics Services:  Customer Service Reigns Supreme!

Despite having taken over Presidio of Monterey (POM)'s Logistics Services operations a mere six weeks ago, stacks of written praise from appreciative customers are flowing to the base contracting office.  POM Logistics Services was a decisive A-76 win for Hallmark Phoenix, and the talented employees there wasted no time in letting the installation know that they should expect nothing less than superior customer service.  Our Program Manager noted that the reason for the explosion in customer comments was due to a concerted effort to reshape the organization into a more efficient and customer focused entity.  "Our employees appreciate that they're here to support the Presidio's mission, soldiers in training, and those in the field," said Hallmark-Phoenix's Manager.  "We wanted to make a powerful first impression right out of the gate, and thanks to our exceptional employees, our strategy is working."

Our Assistant Program Manager, added, "We also had the good fortune to retain key incumbent employees who knew the operation and helped speed up our ability to successfully transition into our new roles."

We literally have received so many positive written and emailed comments that due to space limitations only a small sampling could be shared below:

    - "Eric assisted me with the equipment turn in process, guided me through the completion of the DD2407 forms, and even removed the batteries from the equipment that I was turning in, which I was not able to remove.  The process that used to take me a whole day was completed in 2 1/2 hours.  Mr Mendoza's helpfulness and friendly personality was highly appreciated.  Thank you very much!"

    - "Eric and his crew are extremely responsive to any repair need.  When we had an issue arise where a outside facility had not correctly repaired a piece of apparatus, both Eric and Mr. Ramsey were quick to demand that the problem be rectified.  They are flexible and accommodate keeping our aging (aka difficult to find parts for) fleet on the road.  This is a significant improvement in the level of service we have received in the past.  I am very happy to be working with Eric and the Hallmark-Phoenix team, and look forward to a continuing positive relationship."

Sam Carter (Textbook Warehouse):  "Sams attitude and approach to how business is conducted at DLI has been nothing but admirable.  He takes the time to understand the processing of language books and LSK's from the PCO (production coordination office) and how those orders which come to us at DAPS (document automation & production service) for speedy production.  Many of these are orders are from many different locations.  Those orders are created into bundles by your warehouse staff and mailed out.  If these print orders are not picked up in a timely manner, it can stall language classes about to begin or already in session.  Without a doubt - Sam is a great addition to the DLI staff.  Thank you very much for having such an employee to work side by side with us who contains the same passion we have in getting the job done right!"

  • Hallmark-Phoenix Peterson CEMAS Earns 99.9% Accuracy Rating!

In an impressive feat of dedication and meticulous attention to detail, Hallmark-Phoenix's Peterson Air Force Base Civil Engineering Material Acquisition System (CEMAS) contract earned an incredible 99.9% accuracy rating during its most recent performance evaluation.  When considering the extensive number of assets for which CEMAS is responsible (literally in the hundreds of thousands), the significance of this stellar performance comes to light.
Our CEMAS team knows the ins and outs of the CEMAS warehouse like the backs of their hands.  By keeping the warehouse spotless and well organized, and by conducting regular inspections on their own initiative, CEMAS stays on top of inventory changes and goes into each performance review with total confidence.

Great job Team Peterson... and many thanks for the work you are doing each day!

  • Another Very Snowy Month for Westover BOS!

To get an idea of how much snow has fallen in the Westover Air Reserve Base area this season, one only needs to look at the city budget for neighboring Chicopee, Massachusetts.  This winter, Chicopee has spent nearly $800,000 in support of snow removal operations.  Half of this total was spent on salt alone.  After diligently working last month to keep Westover two steps ahead of December's relentless snowfall, it turns out that January offered no relief.  Nevertheless, PMI's Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) team was on the scene, staying ahead of the fray once again.
To all the PMI employees who do whatever it takes to get the job done, THANK YOU for all you do!

  • Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) Vehicle Ops Dispatcher, Mr. Steven A. Perreault, Receives Kudos and a Squadron Coin from a Supremely Satisfied Customer--an Airfield Systems Technician!

"When, on 25 January, 2009, Security Forces and Base Operations were unable to provide a safety observer to assist in restoring the A/N-FRN45 Tactical Air Navigation ground transponder, you volunteered to be that person.  Your help in securing the reliability of this important military safety of flight equipment is much appreciated.  The Air Traffic Control personnel avoided having to issue a Notice To Airmen removing the system for an extended amount of time as a resource to users within a 200 nautical radius of Westover Air Reserve Base.  Your selfless act has benefited your fellow citizens and you are well deserving of a 439th Communications Squadron Unit Coin.  Thank you, Sincerely and Very Respectfully."

Thanks Mr. Perreault for all you do each day and thanks for helping making PMI the best Government Service Contractor in the industry!

  • Hallmark-Phoenix Makes Its Mark on Peterson AFB!

Peterson CEMAS Project Leader Joe Sydnor (left) and Hallmark-Phoenix employee John Webb admire their newly decorated warehouse wall. Shortly after starting contract operations in October 2008, Hallmark-Phoenix's Peterson Air Force Base, CO, Civil Engineering Material Acquisition Systems (CEMAS) Project Manager, Joe Sydnor, reached out to his friends in the base paint shop and asked them for a special favor.  With coordination and approval from base agencies, Joe commissioned the painting of a Hallmark-Phoenix logo on the wall of his warehouse.  "The logo is the first thing customers see when they walk in," said Joe, with a smile.  "We think it looks great and it's a terrific addition to our warehouse."  Joe, thanks for taking the initiative to put the Hallmark-Phoenix name in lights!

  • Westover BOS: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

The holidays may be over, but Westover Air Reserve Base, MA, is still dashing through the snow.  And all that snow is keeping PMI's Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) employees very, very busy.  The impact of an early January storm that occurred during a Unit Training Assembly (UTA) weekend was mitigated significantly.  "Our RPM snow removal crew did a great job of keeping up with the snowfall and keeping the base and airfield open for the UTA," said PMI BOS Project Manager, Jim Carey.  "Snow was coming down at the rate of an inch an hour at base opening, but our RPM crew did such a great job that the UTA and the base openings were only delayed by one hour."
Colonel Swain, Westover's 439th Airlift Wing Commander, stated that Danny and RPM did a "Great Job," and said that "my streets are in better condition than the surrounding cities and towns."

In addition to the snow removal crew, Jim gave credit to the outstanding job done by PMI's mechanics.  "Our mechanics were up against a high number of vehicle breakdowns.  They hung in there, kept up with the workload, and did a super job keeping our snow removal vehicles rolling!"

Fantastic job, PMI Westover BOS! Keep up the terrific work!
