The exterior grounds were in need of tender care with all the falling leaves and branches. Dave raked, weeded, and thoroughly cleaned all areas. He also went the extra mile to sweep the walkway because he was concerned folks were dragging the stuff into the building under their shoes! - PMI Westover BOS Employees Shine During Recent AFRC CMAV!During the first week of December, 2008, the Air Force Reserve Command/Contracting Office conducted a Contracting Management Assistance Visit (CMAV) on Westover Air Reserve Base, MA. The visit assessed the effectiveness of PMI's operation and integration with its Westover customer, the 439th Airlift Wing. Highlights of the CMAV results included the following:
1. There is an exceptional working relationship at Westover ARB, MA, between the Government and PMI (the BOS Contractor).
2. The Work Order Training initiative was cited as a "BEST PRACTICE." This program turns over Work Orders to the reserve Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) for execution during Unit Training Assembly (UTA) weekends. PMI provides oversight and training with our skilled craftsmen to ensure the work is accomplished properly. The benefit to the Government is that they receive valuable hands on, on-the-job training for their reservists.
3. Record keeping in Real Property Management (RPM) function was excellent.
What a great way to close out a highly successful 2008, Westover! Thanks to everyone on your stellar team that helped to make this happen! Nobody does it better than PMI!

- Innovation and Ingenuity Save the Day at Blue Grass Army Depot.PMI runs a quiet but nonetheless critical contract at Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), KY. Our employees Our employees, led by PMI's Contract Manager David Alexander, maintain a myriad of vehicles and equipment. Although the nature of the work is inherently dangerous, certain injury or even death may well have been avoided thanks to the quick response of our talented BGAD employees.Last month, a forklift operator inadvertently snagged a forklift battery cable seated inside a container, causing an array of sparks and electrical flames. To make matters worse, the container was filled with ammunition. After David Alexander's initial inspection, he brainstormed with his expert team of employees to come up with possible preventative measures. This exceptional team created, on their own initiative, a specialized clamp that not only holds the cables in a more upright position, but also keeps the insulating jacket from slipping. The clamp ensures a safer work environment for the operators and anyone else in their vicinity. David and his crew received official recognition from the base for their accomplishment.
BGAD Base Equipment Manager Steven Rhodus praised PMI for its exceptional performance and made this innovative clamp standard issue. Mr. Rhodus wrote, "All battery connectors will be upgraded with this clamp as they cycle through either for change out or preventive maintenance. I also appreciate the contribution from Phoenix Management with their solution to correct this problem!"
David Alexander stated that he is "very proud of the quick response and thinking of all of our employees; we also hope to make PMI proud in each and every job we perform." David, mission accomplished! We couldn't be prouder. Keep up the fantastic work!
Hallmark-Phoenix Civil Engineer Material Control System (CEMCS) employees at Peterson AFB, CO receive laudatory comments from government personnel for exceeding contractual standards, "The contractor received 48 work order/direct schedule requests for the month. The MSET allows the 20th Air Force Commander to assess the evaluations and training processes and products of several units.Recently, 20AF did an MSET inspection on a launch tube that PMI employees maintain. There was only one minor discrepancy, which was not attributable to PMI. Our manager, a 30 year veteran of the missile community, stated, “These are the best results I have ever seen.†The results were so impressive that the Vice Group Commander personally requested PMI Refurb and Corrosion technicians attend the foyer call. The results were unveiled at the meeting and the squadron, including Team PMI, received an overall "Excellent" rating! During a recent monthly contract meeting in which Col Swain attended, he made it a point to mention that the Westover BOS represents the "model BOS contract" of all those he's seen since 1991.To receive such a compliment from someone as traveled and experienced as Col Swain is quite an accomplishment! - Tinker Fuels Rocks May 2008 Annual Air Show!Tinker Air Force Base's May 2008 air show, dubbed the "Star Spangled Salute," was a monumental logistical challenge and a tremendous success thanks to the support of those involved. Not surprisingly, PMI's Tinker Fuels team was a vital contributor to that success. Team Tinker met the surge in aircraft fueling requirements brought about by the visiting airframes and even supported a last-minute unleaded gas requirement for several Thunderbird automobiles that were out on display. The size and scope of the air show was phenomenal. It included a myriad of special events, such as E-3 Sentry, KC-135 Stratotanker and E-6 Mercury fly-bys, a MIG-17 demonstration, a Marine Corps AV-8 Harrier demonstration, and the world famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. - PMI Earns Straight "A"s in Westover ATSEP Report!
Westover BOS achieved terrific scores during its recent Air Traffic System Evaluation Program (ATSEP) inspection. This in-depth inspection covered a wide range of air traffic system areas. PMI demonstrated great ability in all of them, with each key area (Weather, Airfield Operations and Airfield Management) scoring over 92%, and RPM (along with CE) earned 100% compliance! PMI received overflowing praise for these results. For example, one of the government evaluator's comments lauds our weather personnel, "The WF supervisor and her technicians are to be commended for the overall excellence of their operations. It was evident that they have made excellent use of the Compliance Performance Checklists (CPC) to conduct self inspections with the objective of attaining a high degree of conformance with required standards. Checkrides were smooth and almost totally devoid of confusion or uncertainty. The overall rating of outstanding is warranted in its entirety."Our Project Manager also offered the following comments to show his immense gratitude for this achievement: "I am extremely proud of our folks and their tremendous effort and total dedication. Mark, Scott, Amy, and all their people are to be commended for exceptional performance; they deserve a huge pat on the back!"

I have experienced it ever since I was assigned to Fort Bragg... It makes my job as a soldier so much easier and better. I just hope when I retire, I can also find an office with coworkers who care".
Isn't that what great service to our Armed Forces is all about? Thanks to the PMI Fort Bragg Team for representing PMI so well!
Westover BOS String of Accomplishment Continues!
Part of PMI's Westover Base Operating Support's (BOS) many tasks includes support for the Springfield Military Enlisted Processing Station (MEPS). MEPS bus drivers Paul Whitten and Bill Hynes have so successfully and consistently executed their duties that they recently attracted the attention of MEPS Lt Commander (LT CDR) Renee Squire. LT CDR Squire was so grateful for their exceptional MEPS support that she expressed her appreciation in a letter specifically outlining the quality of service Paul and Bill provide.
What separates LT CDR Squire's letter from most others is the nature of what the commander is praising. The kudos are not simply for driving safely, behaving professionally, or showing up on time for each run... instead, the letter focuses on the connection these two men provide their young passengers. MEPS processing is the key transition point for new recruits on their way to join any particular branch of service. These drivers are the ones who take the recruits to the airport, where they begin the monumental transition to military life. LT CDR Squire's letter focuses on how well PMI's drivers comprehend the anxiety these recruits maintain during this challenging time.Paul and Bill instinctively do all they can to not only provide reliable and exceptional service, but also to understand their customers' state of mind. They do not simply drive buses for MEPS; they provide friendship to nervous kids who are trying to juggle a myriad of tasks and emotions as they prepare to depart on the most significant journey of their young lives. Paul Whitten and Bill Hynes deliver a level of customer service each day that even the most successful corporations in America struggle to match. These men know their customers, sincerely care about their needs, and consistently go beyond what other drivers would do in the execution of their duties. You can't learn that at Harvard Business School... you either have it in you or you don't.
LT CDR Squire said it best:
"Their professionalism and caring goes beyond my expectations and truly helps us give these young heroes the welcome and treatment they deserve for joining our great Armed Forces."
MEPS Landscaping Crew Also Hailed by MEPS Commander!MEPS is a high-visibility area on Westover Air Reserve Base and one that often gives new recruits a lasting first impression of military standards of quality. Landscaping the MEPS facility is critical to maintaining that positive image. MEPS's LT CDR Squire recently praised RPM's Art Herring and his landscaping crew for consistently keeping the area extraordinarily pristine. She said: "I can't tell you enough how much we appreciate all of their ideas and hard work! Their efforts and care are having an incredibly positive impact on our entire organization... recruiters and applicants included!"
May-X Mobility Exercise
PMI recently completed its support of Westover's "May-X" mobility exercise, processing three airlift mission chalks through a PMI-run marshalling yard. PMI employees moved 169 tons of cargo and nearly 200 passengers during the exercise. This was the first mobility exercise of this kind since the summer of 2007, but PMI successfully and safely completed its mission. Cargo processing and aircraft loading went off without a hitch, well within the scheduled sequence of event times.
Westover Customer Surveys Earn Many Top Spots on Kudos Board
Westover BOS maintains its own "Kudos Board" to showcase the exceptional customer service contributions its employees are making for this high-visibility PMI contract. Last month, the following personnel were recognized by their customers for a variety of services.
In Supply:Cindy Stone: "As always, Cindy Stone has done an outstanding job of helping ATCALS with our upcoming project on Westover's ILS system."
Don Ricchi: "I was very impressed by the communication efforts from Donald Ricchi in the Receiving Section of PMI."
In RPM:
David Doyle: "Dave always shows professionalism when completing tasks for lodging. He always takes time to explain the job performed."
Mike Kies: "Mike Kies came over with the vacuum to try to get up some of the residual water from the carpet. Great job!"
Eric Ladabouche: "Eric is an extraordinary locksmith, very professional, courteous and trustworthy."
Tom Bonanno & Greg Godard: "Tom and Greg did an awesome job!"
You are all well-deserving of these comments... thank you for representing PMI so well!
- PMI's Vandenberg AFB Launch Support Services (LSS) Personnel Demonstrate the Value of Teamwork!
The Noncommissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of Vandenberg Air Force Base's Electro-Mechanical Team, recently forwarded his appreciation for the outstanding work being done by PMI's LSS team. The work at LSS is not for the faint of heart. Our crew are involved in refurbishing missile launch facilities that are left in disastrous condition following a launch. However, our team still found time to help MSgt Medrano when a crane originally scheduled to remove several enormous batteries ironically ended up with a dead battery itself. Our team jumped in to offer assistance, and MSgt Medrano expressed his appreciation by writing, "Thanks to Refurb's support, we were able to keep on schedule and continue with our maintenance; all the prep work we performed last week did not go to waste. That is the kind of teamwork that makes things happen and solidifies the squadron. Thanks Refurb, for getting us out of a bind!"
- PMI employee Tom Thomas was presented the 72nd Mission Support Group (MSG) Coin by the 72 MSG Commander. Mr. Thomas earned the coin by providing essential training and guidance to a unit required to manage their own mobility bags and gas masks. With Mr. Thomas's assistance the 3rd Combat Communications Support Squadron (3 CCSS) was able to recover all of the data that was lost when its Supply database crashed. The 3 CCSS Commander, stated, "I would like to pass to you our appreciation for helping "the Herd" out of a tight spot. On 21 April, our database, which tracks $2.5 million worth of mobility assets, crashed. Mr. Tom Thomas, 72 MSG/LRS, helped coordinate the whole system recovery and selflessly trained two airmen and an NCO over a two-week span, ensuring up to date procedures were incorporated in everyday use."
Brilliant job, Tom... PMI and Tinker AFB are fortunate to have your expertise onboard!
Presidio of Monterey Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Language Day Support Exceeds Expectations!
During a recent "Language Day" event that required significant support from PMI, Presidio of Monterey (POM)'s Director of Logistics, took time out of his busy schedule to draft a note of praise to the Contract Representative. He wrote: "Please pass on my thanks to PMI's Contract Manager for being there to make sure the shuttles ran smooth and immediately taking care of any little issue that surfaced." The Contarct Representative forwarded the praise with her own comments to our manager: "Hooah to PMI!!! Thank you for a job well done!"
Many thanks to PMI's Contract Manager and his expert team for always delivering exceptional performance.
In April 2008, PMI Transportation Motor Pool personnel at Fort Bragg, NC received "kudos" for their contributions towards the Transportation Division receiving a certificate of appreciation from the Installation Management Command at Fort McPherson, GA for commendable performance in support of garrison operations at Fort Bragg, NC. Well done team!
- PMI LSS: Having a Blast at Vandenberg AFB, CA! PMI's Launch Support Services (LSS) contract at Vandenberg AFB, led by our manager and his very capable team, was instrumental in yet another successful Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) launch last month. The purpose of the launch was to test and evaluate the Minuteman ICBM fleet's operational capability. PMI is responsible for refurbishing the ICBM launch tube, a grueling process that can take months to complete. One of the most daunting tasks involves removing the launch tube's actuator; during launch sequences, the actuator retracts and pulls down on thick steel cables that open the 110-ton steel and concrete launcher door. PMI is truly unique in that it is the only company on earth that provides this kind of service for ICBMs. The precision with which our extraordinary team executes their tasks is also unique, and a point of pride for the entire PMI family. Keep up the great work, LSS!
- Westover Weather Welcomes Awareness Award Win! PMI's Westover BOS Weather Services operation is staffed with weather professionals who are not only technical specialists in their field, but also customer service experts as well. Case in point: Doug Fortin. Doug recently received the coveted Eye's Forward Certificate from the 15th Operational Weather Squadron (15th OWS) for his "outstanding meteorological situational awareness," "operational weather risk management, and "expert collaboration" with the 15th OWS prior to a heavy Nor'easter snowstorm at Westover this past January. The 15th OWS's enlisted personnel nominate candidates who they believe "go the extra mile to ensure effective weather operations during significant weather events." The certificate, signed by Lt Col Keith J. Duffy, praised Doug's 16 hour advance notice of the storm warning, predicting nine inches of snow over a 12 hour period. Doug's forecast was near-perfect; the Nor'easter dropped 8.5 inches. CONGRATULATIONS, Doug! PMI is proud to have you on its team!
- Swift BEAR Earns Yet Another Quarter of Exceptional Ratings! PMI's Swift Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources, or "Swift BEAR," operations have earned "Exceptional" ratings again this past quarter. The Swift BEAR program provides War Reserve Material (WRM) support at McGuire AFB, NJ, and Travis AFB, CA. This kind of success does not happen without planning and concerted effort. Both Swift BEAR managers remained focused on the mission each day, highlighting their support for special requests and unique opportunities where they and their team shined in full view of their customers. PMI salutes your leadership and the "exceptional" employees you have supporting Swift BEAR each day!
Westover Moves Humanitarian Cargo for Red Sox Superstar! PMI's Westover BOS Project Manager has a phenomenal workforce that that routinely deals with a wide array of cargo as part of Westover Base Operating Service's daily responsibilities. Last month, however, his Vehicle Maintenance team was directly involved in preparing a very special shipment for a very special purpose. In 1985, Senator Jeremiah Denton, a retired Navy Rear Admiral, initiated legislation that authorized humanitarian cargo to move for free on DOD aircraft that had extra space available. Now known as the Denton Amendment, this legislation has enabled millions of pounds of humanitarian cargo to get to those in need. Red Sox superstar David Ortiz (better known to Red Sox fans as "Big Papi") recently purchased an ambulance for his country of birth, the Dominican Republic. The ambulance, along with six other pallets of Denton cargo, was prepped for shipment and loaded on an aircraft at Westover Air Reserve Base, MA. Preparing the ambulance for shipment was a challenging task, requiring the skill of PMI's Bob Lepage and his maintenance team. When the ambulance developed a fuel leak onboard the aircraft, PMI's expertise was again required to ensure its safe and quick repair. Despite these complications, the rapid response of PMI's Maintenance team ensured that the aircraft and its cargo met scheduled cargo upload and aircraft departure times.
These events did not go unnoticed by Westover leadership. The 439th Maintenance Support Group commander, and 42nd Aerial Port Chief Master Sergeant both offered their appreciation for PMI's efforts. The Chief wrote, "We need again to thank the PMI Vehicle Maintainers for their assistance with last minute vehicle issues! They really made it happen!"
Another "home run" for Team Westover! Great work, Westover BOS... thanks for representing PMI so well!
- PMI's Swift BEAR Contract Managers at Travis AFB, CA and McGuire AFB, NJ understand the value of building productive and mutually beneficial working relationships with their Government counterparts. The contract's outgoing Command level Program Manager, thought so much of them that he sent them each a personal note to express his gratitude for their hard work and cooperation. He stated, "I want to let you know that today is my last day as the Swift BEAR Program Manager... Thank you for all of your hard work and support. You all made this the easiest job in the Air Force for me and I appreciated all of your help."
Westover Springs into Superior Service! PMI's Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) contract has segued from an intense winter into a very busy spring. There's an old saying that states if you want to get something done, give it to the busiest person you can find to do it... and our Westover customers know where to find the busiest and best people for achieving great results.
PMI has several key employees who are now asked for specifically by name. The latest is Kenneth Wandas of Real Property Maintenance (RPM), who received a by-name request to improve lighting efficiency in the lobby of one of Westover's key office buildings. Kenneth was requested not only for his expertise, but also for being a "very helpful and courteous employee".
Westover ARB is also the center for in-depth maintenance on all Air Force Reserve C-5 aircraft. Part of this enormous responsibility involves isochronal (ISO) inspections. These inspections are detailed examinations of the entire aircraft, where aircraft maintainers look for and repair problems in every system, from nose to tail and wingtip to wingtip (Westover is home to 16 of the Air Force's 111 C-5s). Several distinguished visitors and senior officers recently visited Westover for high-level ISO meetings. Westover's Protocol Officer sent PMI's Westover Project Manager an appreciative note to express her office's gratitude to Stephen Perreault and Bob LePage for their assistance in handling the visit's extensive transportation needs. She wrote, "Everything went off without a hitch and as always, they were a tremendous help!"
Also, Westover's Fire Chief recently praised PMI's ability to achieve an exemplary in-service rate for the base fire trucks. He wrote, "I'd like to say (PMI employees) Bob Lepage and Dave Martel have had a tremendous impact on the "In-Service" rate of my fire trucks. I believe we have the best vehicle support in the command. This is truly evident by the P-23 (fire truck) we received from Niagara Falls and the P-30 we received from Grissom. They were both in terrible shape when they arrived and Dave put countless hours into getting them up to Westover standards."
The Fire Chief went on to write, "We also can't forget the P-18 that was being shipped to Dobbins and needed a hurry-up LTI (Limited Technical Inspection) and then didn't go and needed another hurry-up LTI. I'm extremely happy with the vehicle maintenance performance from Bob and Dave."
And PMI's responsibilities on Westover continue to grow. For example, Westover RPM has performed brilliantly while expertly managing a phenomenal workload surge. Work orders have nearly doubled in the past two years, yet PMI's quality of service has only improved along with the dramatic growth.
To all of PMI's Westover employees, thank you for continuing to build and solidify PMI's stellar reputation!
- In March 2008, three PMI Transportation Motor Pool employees at Fort Bragg, NC received certificate of achievements for outstanding support of Retiree Appreciation Days. Thanks folks for your continued support of the military community!
- PMI's Technical Order Library and Maintenance Data Support (TOLMDS) Contract Manager at FE Warren Air Force Base, WY, received spectacular results from his team's most recent inspection. After meticulous scrutiny of PMI's operation, the designated Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) found no customer complaints and no interruptions in service. The QAE also inspected 83 Technical Orders and found zero errors. Thank you to all of our FE Warren employees for consistently delivering this level of superior performance!
- Preparing for inspections can be a nerve-wracking process, yet PMI has once again proven its ability to succeed and excel under the stress and strain of having outside agencies scrutinize and observe all aspects of its operations. For example, at PMI's Launch Support Services (LSS) contract, located at Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA, our Contract Manager has led his team to another "Exceptional" inspection rating. Considering the critical nature of PMI's work on Vandenberg, these inspections involve hundreds of data points. To earn an Exceptional rating, LSS cannot exceed zero critical, 2 major, and 17 minor write-ups. Our manager and his crew walked away from the inspection with zero critical, zero major, and only eight minor discrepancies, putting PMI well within "Exemplary" standards. Great job, LSS!
PMI Westover Base Operating Services (BOS) Employees Receive Avalanche of Praise for Exceptional Performance this Winter.
A senior government official, 439th Airlift Wing Command Chief Master Sergeant, personally thanked PMI employees Dennis Skowera, Hassell Frye, and Rich Connelly for their outstanding support of an urgent after-hours request to find a vital shipment to Andrews Air Force Base, Washington D.C. All three of these exceptional performers dropped personal plans to locate a display backdrop and other material desperately needed for a Human Resources Development Council (HRDC) display at the National Reserve Officer Association convention in Washington DC. The items were an integral part of a display representing the Air Force Reserve Command HRDC during the event. The Chief stated that the actions of PMI's employees demonstrated why Westover is "the team of choice and the culture of excellence."
Also, Steve Perrault, an often recognized PMI all-star, received a letter of appreciation for coordinating the delivery of two 4-wheel drive trucks to support Westover's annual Children's Christmas Party. The letter, signed by the Airman & Family Readiness Office Superintendent and the Director of the Pioneer Valley USO, praised Steve for his "professionalism and willingness to assist" in all their events. Once again, brilliant job, Steve!
A recent Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) audit of Air Force Equipment Management System variances (a vital Supply system) revealed that Westover's Supply operation was the only AFRC location with no rejects. Westover Chief of Supply, Kim Kilmer, credited PMI employee Betty Laprade's outstanding attention to detail as key to this significant achievement. Way to go, Betty! Keep up the great work!
Dedicated watchers of the Weather Channel know that Westover had ample snowfall this winter. Supporting a base's snow plow operation is a daunting task; concerns include staying safe in an icy, low-visibility environment; having reliable, 24-hour responsiveness; and quickly repairing and maintaining snow removal equipment. Yet, PMI's Roads & Grounds and Maintenance employees were lauded by the Westover Contracting Office for earning high marks in all these areas. During a recent storm, PMI received many accolades for its superior performance. The Contracting Office also praised PMI for being proactive in keeping Westover prepared for this winter's storms. Fantastic job, everyone!
Lastly, our Westover Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) drivers recently received two letters of appreciation for their exceptional MEPS support, praising the job our drivers do with new recruits. Well done!
Congratulations to all the Westover employees who demonstrate to our customers!
- A Tinker AFB Flight Commander took time out of her busy day to present PMI Tinker Base Supply employee Mark Bennett with a formal letter of appreciation for his extraordinary professionalism in helping her prepare for a deployment. In a letter to PMI's Contract Manager she expressed her sincere gratitude for Mr. Bennett's "most wonderful and courteous service" in getting her "everything (she) needed for a short notice deployment." She went on to write, "Mr. Bennett went out of his way to make sure I got what I needed in a timely manner. I truly appreciate the personal touch!" She closed her letter by stating, "Mr. Bennett is to be commended for his Can-Do attitude and professional demeanor!" Mark, thank you for representing PMI so well and for understanding the value of superior customer service!
- In February 2008, PMI was thanked by a veteran of the United States Marine Corps for providing the Wounded Warrior Bus at Camp LeJeune, NC. "I just now read of the Wounded Warrior Bus at Camp Lejeune, NC. I finally found time... I want to thank you for providing such a valuable service to my wounded brethren. I'm a former Marine Corps GySgt and have been stationed at Camp Lejeune twice. I spent most of my time overseas."
- In February 2008, PMI personnel at Fort Bragg, NC were recognized by a senior government official for superb performance moving thousands of passengers and baggage in support of mobilization. "Please pass my congratulations to the members of your team for continuing to exceed customer bus requirements in support of increased mobilization and demobilization activity. Your team converted what first appeared to be a monumental task of transporting thousands of soldiers to multiple locations into easily dissectible segments leading to widespread understanding and execution of the mission. The flexibility built into the support strategy has enabled for quick response to last minute changes. I know this is still an on-going mission but I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to your team for performing these important missions in a highly professional manner. Thank you for your professional support."
- In January 2008, government personnel laud performance of PMI's Westover Roads and Grounds employees for exceptional performance during winter snow storm. PMI personnel "...performed very well! This was an extremely difficult storm to clean up after and they succeeded and outperformed many city and town crews".
- In January 2008, PMI's Launch Support Services (LSS) contract at Vandenberg AFB, CA, had a watershed moment. Under the leadership of the Contract Manager, PMI's LSS team passed an incredibly meticulous 11-page, 6-font checklist of its operation. The result? Three minor deficiencies requiring no more than on-the-spot fixes. The efforts our team made to attain this level of proficiency are certainly noteworthy.
In January 2008, PMI's Westover ARB, MA personnel again received numerous accolades!
In Supply, PMI's Assistant Project Manager and Chief of Supply, received outstanding comments from the base's 439th Maintenance Operations Squadron (MOS). The comments were given on behalf of the entire 439th MOS to the Material Storage and Distribution team. To quote: "In just this one day, the combined efforts of the 439th Supply team in repair cycle support enabled us to process turn-ins which will result in excess of $50,000 back into the revolving stock fund. Thanks for the continued support as well as the professional execution of all your processes despite challenging weather conditions."
In Vehicle Operations/Production Control, PMI's Stephen Perreault received thanks from Lt Col John Grigsby, Chief Pilot of the 68th Airlift Squadron, for setting up Lt Col Grigsby's team with Government vehicles. Lt Col Grigsby went on to state that, "Your transportation folks are outstanding and your support helped make this mission a smooth one." Lt Col Grigsby also took the liberty of installing a 68th Airlift Squadron patch on Stephen's unit board.
And last but not least, PMI's Team Westover received an effusive letter of praise from Col Mark Murphy, Vice Commander of the 914th Airlift Wing in Niagra, NY. His email to PMI's Westover BOS Project Manager says it all: "Tonight I flew a trainer to your base. We had a problem with our LOX and needed to have the aircraft serviced. The people in your base operations were very helpful to us and your TA was outstanding. They responded to the aircraft with a LOX cart faster than I have ever seen at any base. Everyone was friendly and helpful to us. Their prompt response allowed us to continue our mission home with just enough time to make our duty day. Please pass to them our thanks for a job well done!"
PMI Employees at General Mitchell's IAP-ARS, WI were praised by the 440th Airlift Wing Commander for doing a "phenomenal job on an extraordinary and laborious task"--losing down the Airlift Wing! Such comments epitomize the Team Concept that permeates PMI at the Corporate Office and Contract Sites. Specific recognition was given to a PMI Supply Employee, Ms. Kreuzer. Government personnel stated we have performed "beyond expectations". Thanks so much to all of our employees for doing such wonderful jobs every day, even during the final hours of this contract.
