During the Year 2005:
- PMI Tinker AFB Supply Personnel's daily efforts directly contributed to Tinker AFB winning the Air Force Material Command Installation Excellence Award.
- AFSPC Multi-Wing Logistics Support PMI Employees at Peterson AFB, CO, directly contributed to 1,000 mishap-free days on the base and received letters of gratitude from the 21st Space Wing and 21 MSG Commanders.
- A PMI Tinker AFB Base Supply Employee received a Certificate of Appreciation for supporting Tinker AFB's Star Spangled Salute.
- A PMI Tinker AFB Fuels Employee received recognition for "Outstanding Professionalism" in support of the "Largest Air Show in the State of Oklahoma".
- PMI Technical Order Distribution and Maintenance Data Systems Employees received the "Professional Team Award" from the Air Force Space Command Inspector General during the Weapons Safety and Compliance Inspection.
- A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to PMI Tinker AFB Supply Munitions Employees for untiring efforts, devotion to duty, loyalty, and professionalism while supporting annual training at the Regional Training Institution in Oklahoma City, OK.
- PMI's BOS Services Employees at Gen'l Mitchell IAP-ARS, WI received a letter of appreciation for safely and efficiently transporting dignitaries in a "very organized and efficient manner."
- A PMI Vandenberg AFB Launch Support Services employee received a Certificate of Appreciation and "9/11" coin from Vandenberg AFB Leadership for teaching the most Self Aid Buddy Care classes on the base during the first seven months of 2005.
- PMI's BOS Services Employees at Gen'l Mitchell IAP-ARS, WI received a letter of appreciation for "Outstanding Support" during Employer Appreciation Day, a Navy Blue Angel scout tour, and a council luncheon.
- A PMI Tinker AFB Fuels Employee was recognized for "Outstanding Performance" after he rendered assistance to FEMA Fuel Transport in support of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. A unit leaking fuel on I-35 was escorted to Tinker AFB and defueled.
- During the Jun 05 UCI, a PMI Westover ARB Employee was recognized for her outstanding Equipment Management Program where 218 accounts were inspected & found error-free. She received a coin and certificate of achievement from the 439th Wing Commander.
- PMI's Swift BEAR Employees' daily efforts contributed to nominations for the Daedalion Award. Although unsuccessful in winning this AF-level award, LRS leadership stated these achievements are "a stepping stone to future excellence and recognition."
- PMI Westover ARB BOS Employees serviced 28 aircraft from 13 countries during annual UN General Assembly meetings. The US Secretary of State's office sent a letter lauding the employees for their outstanding support.
- In response to hurricane Katrina, PMI Westover ARB BOS employees loaded seven C-5 aircraft, after only 2 hours notification. The Contracting Officer lauded the employees for their astounding performance commenting, "I want to thank you for the immediate response to the request for 24/7 coverage this past holiday weekend."
- PMI Vandenberg AFB Launch Support Employees' daily efforts contributed to the 576th Flight Test Squadron earning the prestigious AFSPC 2005 Maintenance Effectiveness Award.
- PMI Base Supply and Fuels Employees at Malmstrom AFB, MT, provided direct support in the space wing - achieving the highest missile alert rate (99.792%) in history.
- PMI Vandenberg AFB Launch Support Employees contributed to the 2005 Air Force Organizational Excellence Award being awarded to the Space Warfare Center. The 576th Flight Test Squadron, PMI's primary customer and recipient of PMI's Launch Support Services, is a subordinate unit to the Space Warfare Center sharing in this prestigious Air Force level award.
- PMI Vandenberg AFB Launch Support Employees' superb performance resulted in the 576 FLTS receiving an "Outstanding" rating from Twentieth Air Force during a recent inspection. It was the first "Outstanding" rating in over 28 years, if ever, according to retired Chief Master Sergeant Mike Woods.
- PMI's Technical Order Library and Maintenance Data Support Employees at Vandenberg AFB, CA accomplished, two years running, what no other missile wing has done even once; ZERO DISCREPANCIES! After accomplishing the first "Golden Goose Egg" in 2004 when the PMI team received zero write-ups of 235 Technical Orders (T.O.'s) inspected, 20AF increased the number of T.O.'s inspected this year. The results: 253 T.O.'s inspected with no discrepancies. PMI enjoys an astounding & unparalleled performance record--only one minor discrepancy in a 3-year period with over 700 T.O.'s inspected.
- PMI Gen Mitchell IAP-ARS Base Operating Services Employees were recognized as major contributors to the 440th Airlift Wing receiving the prestigious Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (AFOUA) for meritorious service. Colonel Merle D. Hart, Commander, 440th Airlift Wing, presented several PMI employees with Certificates of Appreciation.
- PMI employees were recognized by Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) as crucial team members of the 21st Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) as they garnered two top-level AFSPC awards for 2005 : Best Management & Systems Flight (Supply) and Best Traffic Management Flight. Colonel Jay G. Santee, 21st Space Wing Commander, stated: "the men and women of the 21 LRS women are dedicated to providing the absolute best in logistics support to Team Pete (Peterson AFB) and the Nation. ...the 330 military, civilian and contract members of the 21 LRS team, strive to provide the pinnacle of air and ground transportation, supply, fuels, mobility, and readiness support to the 21st Space Wing and our tenants, locally and around the world."
